Welcome to The Enchanted Forest. 

A dream, an installation, a giant knitted world.

Commissioned by Yarmonics, it is a collaboration between Nwando Ebizie and Tom Richards, working with local Great Yarmouth group - The Louise Hamilton Trust.

We discovered them last year, a charity who support palliative care through selling items they knit and creating extraordinary knitted worlds to raise funds. For the installation they kindly shared their incredible knitted forest, full of creatures, wonders and delights.

To create the project, we held discussion, meditation and knit and natter sessions with some of the women who created this world, discussing the enchanting potential of forests. Drawing on those experiences inspired us to create a sound and light treatment which adds another layer of magic to the knitted extravaganza. Tom provided his usual analogue technological wizardry - building machines to animate the world. And I dove into a soundscape.

Entry is free but donations to The Louise Hamilton Trust are encouraged.
